Though job duties will vary somewhat, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Support the EMR Practice Management (PM) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation and continuous improvement process
- Ensure staff/physician needs are met during training and implementation
- Provide technical troubleshooting and problem resolutions to end-users
- Plan, manage, and communicate the rollout of regular PM and EMR system enhancements and updates.
- Assist with implementation project timelines, coordinate the change management, and communication process associated with rollout, plan, and schedule training and complete post upgrade assessments
- Serve as an escalation point for customer support issues and Super Users
- Coordinate on-site support and issues triage/resolution for staff post implementation. Provide hands on assistance to the team in performing support activities as needed
- Take the lead role in maintaining staff/provider satisfaction by conducting regular communications, facilitating communications with Informatics Director, and proactively identifying and resolving issues
- Work as part of the implementation team on training and implementation activities
- Evaluate staff/provider needs as it relates to new system features and capabilities and assess impact on clinical and billing workflows/procedures so that implementation and training activities can be planned appropriately
- Work on-site at practices when needed to implement, support, and train on the EMR and any related applications (i.e. Patient portal, Dragon dictation, etc.)
- Supports leadership as necessary on other tasks. Scope in includes, but is not limited to, training staff and system/technology implementation
Education/Experience
- Requires a minimum of a Bachelors degree, preferably in information technology, public or health management and or relevant work experience.
- Minimum 1 year of GE Centricity CPS technical knowledge
- Minimum 1 year experience providing system support to clinical staff
