This is not a formal listing for the position, but more of an outreach effort looking for suggestions of where to possibly find individuals or even companies/consulting firms that might help feel the need of a CIO remotely, NOT onsite. This would more than likely be a contract position.
This person would be responsible for the information technology and computer systems that currently support our enterprise goals. We are looking for someone who could help assist in the management of our IT resources as well as assist in policy and practice development, planning, budgeting and resourcing.
If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to respond to this post and then I'd be happy to give you contact information. Thanks! - Patrick
Peter, we have 60 providers spread out over 5 clinics in San Antonio, Texas. 30 MD's, 20 PA's and a handful of pool providers. We have over 450 employees. We are multi-specialty. Used to primarily be Family Practice but have since ventured into specialty fields as well.
Patrick,

The role of CIO is often a person who is responsible for technology - networks, user access, PC's, etc... However, many medical facilities are looking for someone to oversee (and perhaps hands-on) work with the EMR & PM Systems, data connectivity (labs, prescriptions), design and manage reports, design and implement data entry screen (VFE for GE Centricity). What is your focus/plan?
