System Application Analyst
The System Application Analyst provides application and reporting analytical support for varied GE Centricity EMR and/or GE Centricity Business/IDX applications, such as BAR, SCHED/AWS, EMR, TES and/or ETM. Analyst responsible for having a thorough working knowledge of related application functions. Must be able to work effectively with staff and management in determining the most effective and efficient means of utilizing the computer system.
This position works with a team of IT professionals to provide support and implementation of the GE Healthcare system and is accountable for the development and delivery of the following:
- Performs a wide range of activities within the GE applications, modules and components and coordinates with the billing and clinical departments;
- Develops training tools (manuals, tip sheets, process flow documents);
- Coordinates and conducts end-user training in a variety of system modules;
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and produce quality deliverables;
- Participates in the planning, configuration and implementation of interfaces;
- Represents IT throughout the planning, installation and implementation phases of projects;
- Assists and implements system upgrades;
- Conducts user acceptance, performance testing, integration testing
- Performs required system maintenance by applying fixes and updates to current software;
- Conduct and support reporting and analytical operations within the department;
- Maintains continuing education activities to ensure knowledge of respective applications is current.
- Cross trained to provide back-up support other operations in the IT Department, which may include but are not limited to the following: claims processing; support of peer System Application Analysts in BAR, EMR, SCHED, TES, etc; Help Desk support;
Preferred Experience:
- Three or more years of functional experience with GE Centricity Practice Solutions / GE Centricity Business/IDX and/or GE Centricity EMR applications;
- Additional experience with BAR, TES, ETM, EMR, DBMS, Web Frameworks and other supporting business applications is a plus;
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration or Healthcare preferred or the equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Demonstrated experience in systems or workflow analysis and documentation and the implementation of complex software products;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team and with users, management and staff;
- Must have strong organizational, analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail;
