My company uses a 3rd Party Market company to evaluate our job positions. This company states that the market in our area has become really saturated with database administrators and because of that, the annual salary for a Senior Database Administrator (my title) should be much lower than what I currently make and because of this I am under a pay increase freeze and have been for some time.
My direct supervisor wants to revisit my job title/description and evaluate it for changes, and he wants my input in regards to these possible changes. One of the things I am considering is requesting that my title to be changed from "Senior Database Administrator" to "Centricity CPS Administrator".
Does anyone know what the salary ranges are for both job titles? As you can see from below, I do have a variety of tasks that I perform in both areas.
I maintain our SQL databases, as well as perform upgrades to both SQL and CPS, as well as write SQL scripts/tasks, SSIS tasks, SQL Reports, Crystal Reports (both inside and outside of Centricity), SQL data extracts, create/maintain LinkLogic and Qvera Interfaces, design forms in VFE and now learning Bounce Forms, Patient Banner creation/maintenance, Centricity Document Templates, Centricity Letters/Handouts, error tracking, reporting to GE, and even some in-house resolution (all using the ErrorLog table, crash logs, and ExceptionsAndErrors.log), as well as sometimes correcting data incorrectly recorded into Observation terms.
