Has anyone found a way to add all documents with attachments to a cd from a patients chart? We are trying to find a better way to do this without having to print everything out. If anyone knows of third party or any type of software please let me know and thank you.
I am working on an application to do just this.
If you just need everything into a PDF, try PDF Creator. You just print everything to the PDF Print queue and it comes out as 1 big file.
My staff use it quite heavily.

can you give me step by step on the process you are using. Currently our Med Rec Department is saving one file at a time.
application that will save all documents into a cd?? If so please keep us in mind cause Med Rec is currently saving and placing into a cd a file at a time
Yes, Flash drive or CD... that is the goal, I am hoping to have it released by August 1st, you can visit my website at www.aphoenixtech.com or email me so i can put you on my contact list when it becomes available, and can trial it ([email protected])
Problem with this method is you have to save all those pdfs somewhere, then you have to do all the attachments as well, it can become a very long process if you are doing thousands of records for a patient. But it is a way to do it.
Here is a link to the documentation: http://docs.pdfforge.org/pdfcreator/latest/en/
Basically you print everything you want into a PDF file to the PDF Creator print queue.
You can print singles or multiples into the same file.
We are using a utility called Bullzip. It is a pdf printer.
Summit Software has a product (DocuBatch Pro) that can do this:

You can fax the documents (and attachments) or you can save the documents (and attachments) to a PDF file (may be multiple files).
I have written an application that does exactly this for CEMR.
Send me an email and I will work on getting you a copy. I have a version that works for all documents other than CCDA's. I am about 98% done with the version that will save a CCDA so if that is important to you it might take a little bit longer.
acantu, did you ever finish developing that software? The site you provided above doesn't open. We've been looking for am easier way to print all documents with attachments for several years.
