Our organization is looking into touch technology using Surface Pro with Centricity EMR 9.8 - VM Ware. Any success stories specifically using in exam rooms for Ophthalmology content?
we use the surface pro 3s and the providers really like it
Do they use the keyboard function? How is the screen resolution with Centricity? We are looking into using it for our Ophthalmologists. What environment are you using? Citrix? VMware? Thanks. J
We have a couple docs on SurfacePro 3s running CPS12 via Citrix Xenapp and they enjoy them, mostly for the portability. However, these docs dictate rather than type, which i could see being a downfall of the SP3. When they do have to type they use the microsoft type cover keyboard.
The screens have very very high DPI so image clarity is very good. It does cause issues with some applications but can usually be fixed by setting the "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" option on the compatibility tab of the application launcher in windows.
We also installed ClassicShell as we found the Metro UI rather annoying.
