Is there a way to have appends include text translation for any changes made to the clinical lists?
We often have users who use and append on a document to add an order or enter a medication change. They then sign the append without adding any text to the note. So the append appears in the chart as a blank but clinical list changes have been made.
We are on CPS12.3.2 and our users have a button in the Append that allows them to "Click here to do a Full Update" and once they do that they can then open it as an Office Visit, Phone Note, etc.
I don't know if the CEMR has the same thing or which one you have, but if you have this button then it sounds like a change to their workflow is needed.

We are on 12.2.2 and do have that Full Update Append as well. They are utilizing that button but the default document type is "Append". I could ask them to choose an encounter type so that a different document type is associated but I know a few of our providers won't want to take that extra step. Was just hoping there was somewhere to update the output for the Append document type.
