We frequently have to send medical records attachments along with our electronic claims, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a efficient way to attach documents from the EMR. My office currently saves the attachments as PDFs so they can be loaded into the paperclip in the Patient's Visit on the PM side, but this seems incredibly inefficient when everything SHOULD already be electronic. I am hoping we are missing something obvious. Any help would be appreciated!
Hello Tiffany,
There is a solution that will allow you to attach documents in the EHR and organize them throughout the practice management. The product is called VisDoc a very robust document management system that will not only allow you to attach documents in the EHR but will also allow the use of OBS terms to classify them when needed. You will also be able to organize and separate practice management i.e. Billing, Insurance and EOB documents.
I would be happy to show you the product and how it can solve your EHR document organization.
Thank you,

Is this a product similar to DocuTrak? We have a document management service. What I am hoping to find is a way to take a office visit document from the EMR and attaching it to the paperclip in Practice Management efficiently. Does your product do that?
Morning,
If I understand correctly you are looking for a way to take an EHR document, not an external document such as a letter or lab, and make it available in the PM? VisDoc doesn't do that type of export. It is a document management similar to Docutrack but works in both the PM and EHR independent of the paperclip.
Please let me if I am understanding your question correctly.
Thank you,
Annela
Hi Tiffany,
If I'm understanding your question correctly, we should be able to move a PDF from your office visit to the paperclip using and an action button within the visit with the Visual Signature Capture application.
I'd be happy to get on a call to further explore your needs, just let me know when you'd have a few minutes to discuss.
