Looking to find out if any members of the CHUG group have implemented a system that automates appointment reminders for patients via phone by integrating Centricity with a third-party tool. I look forward to any responses.
Yes - we use a company called Televox. Basically we created a crystal report with data that was needed and then this report is uploaded to the Televox URL and they make the calls
We use Phytel. It is "integrated" as far as it pulls information out of the database to call patients (no report to run). It does not update the schedule with a confirmation. There is an online portal you can log in to see the results and update the GE schedule manually.
We have used Televox and CallPointe. Both Great companies to work with. All our clinics use CallPointe now. No negative to Televox just majority won when it came down to standardizing and more clinics were on CallPointe.
We are switching from CallPointe to Patient Prompt. We have piloted the latter only at one site, but one thing we like is that it can tell if a phone number is mobile even if we did not properly mark it as such - so we can finally do text messages reliably. It has very nice dashboards and seems to be overall better than CallPointe at similar price. (My only hesitation in recommending it is that we do not have it in place at all our 10 sites yet...so our impression could change - hope not.)

CallPointe here. I will admit I know almost nothing about it since I did not help set it up originally. The good news is that we never have to maintain it. I do not believe it has ever gone down or stopped working.
