I know this has been asked before, but bringing it up again. Has anyone found a bar code scanner that interfaces with GE Centricity?
Thanks
Laurie
The typical scanner works as "keyboard" for entering sequence of numbers (or alphanumeric). If you have a form that puts focus into textbox, the scanner will put the scan value into the textbox with the "enter" key.
That all to it.
I have a client that is using scanner with HTML form. The form has a text box field with default focus. The entry key performs search the scan value and displays a different form as result of the search.
I hope it will help.
Thank you, that is good information. One more question, if a Provider puts an order in for say a Flu Shot, and the clinical staff scans a Pneumovax in error, can the system generate a warning message?
