I am trying to create a letter in the EMR that mimics a lab order that has a bar code on it. I can replicate the letter, but I can't get the barcode into the letter. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Laurie
Try STRINGTOCODE39(), you must have the Code39 font installed on the workstation, its in the EMR help file. Never tried it myself though...

I just had someone else ask me this yesterday about a logo. If you can scan your barcode and make it a PDF or a png then put it into wordpad. Not notepad but wordpad. Then type a letter or character before and after the barcode picture. Copy the entire thing into your Centricity letter- then delete the character before and after. Very strange but it works.
example:
d
(picture or barcode)
d
copy from the d to the d and then paste it into the letter on your EMR and then delete the "d"s
Hope that helps!
Amy
Thanks for the help, I'll give it a try.

How do you install a code 39 font on a Centricity Workstation ? I can install for Word or Excel. Is there some way to install for Centricity ? - Beverly
