Is it possible to print a blank Rx form from GE for the provider to use as a handwritten Rx?
Hmmmm, maybe. I tried making one of the presc(state abbrev).rpt Crystal Reports just a regular report and printing in. It had cached (for lack of a better term) patient data in it and was going to print out copies for each one. You could possibly make a copy of your state's file and remove the data calls from it in Crystal Reports and make it a regular report that could be printed. But because you've handwritten it now it isn't considered secure most likely and may not be accepted by your pharmacies.
We still keep the old script pads around, it comes in handy at times for compound Rx that can't be found in the reference list. Then staff add the medication as uncoded and handwritten.
Hi There, what exactly is the provider trying to accomplish? You know you can add uncoded meds to custom lists to use with DME and other non-Drug items. Let me know if you want to give this a go and I'll see if I can put a small "how to guide" together for you.
