Hi all! Hoping some extremely smart person has already been hit with this question and has found a workaround.
I've been asked to try to find a way to restrict one particular user from accessing a single chart, but it seems the only option for restriction is the "sensitive chart" feature. That's overkill for what we're trying to do (and right now, we only use that feature to lock down charts for employees who used to be patients...and giving rights to everyone who needs access to THIS chart would give them access to THOSE...no good).
Seems like there should be a way to have tighter control?
Thanks in advance for any ideas!
I am using CPS 12.3 and from the patient Registration, on the Patient tab, there is a grey button right under Sensitive Chart called User Specific Chart Access which opens the Select Users to Exclude from Chart. You can select the users you want from you User list and they will not be able to access that specific chart.
Hope that Helps!!
D'oh! You are incredible, thank you - I swear I've been staring at the registration screen all afternoon and overlooking it :). I'm blaming a case of need-a-vacation-itis!
I think we all have that right now!
Happy Holidays!
Oh, darn - it still sets the whole chart to sensitive...it blocks that person, just a little too well! We may still be able to grant specific access to the patient's actual providers though.
Thanks again!
