I was wondering if anyone who has previously attended the CHUG conference could help me with knowing if the hands on training sessions are helpful that are listed on the agenda for Tuesday. The conference information states it is a 2 1/2 day conference which would be Wed-Friday but then on the agenda these sessions are listed for Tuesday. I was just wondering if I should plan to attend this day as well. Any help would be appreciated.
Items listed for Tuesday are optional classes that cost extra to attend. The Centricity Live page has an FAQ section with the following info
What is the pre-conference hands-on training?
Yes, hands-on training is available. GE Healthcare offers product and clinical education. Courses will take place on May 16, 2016 throughout the day. From intensive technical and clinical product training, Centricity IT Solutions training, to our extensive continuing education opportunities, we can help you meet your training needs. Early registration discounts are available. See the Pricing tab for details.
The pricing tab then lists the cost for hours of training (roughly $75-$100 per hour of training.)
Someone else may have insights on how helpful the classes are, but if you aren't registering for a class that Tuesday, plan on only being there Wednesday - Friday. (We made that mistake last year, and showed up a day early without registering for classes and just ended up going to Universal Studios for the day. )
I've been to 3 so far and noticed the sessions are not very hands on at all, if you wanted that sign up for the before courses. There are some golden nuggets in the sessions just have to choose carefully since there are so many in the same time frame.
