Everyone,
I know there has been a ton of problems with CPS 12 SP 11 but it seems like there are "some" folks out there that did not have any problems. I could desperately use some assistance from them and anyone who has solved some of the issues listed below or if you never had these issues I would greatly appreciate any assistance as to how your environment is setup. Maybe I can attempt to mirror that and see if these issues go away.
My email address is [email protected] or just reply here.
1. FLAGS: 90% of our flags when opened up from the Flags/Alerts section on the chart desktop DO NOT open up their respective chart. I have tried to right-click open chart, one click, used the open chart button but having them have to click on "find chart" after they click on the flags button is not satisfactory here, lots of complaints.
2. Directives: Not sure if you use the same code as we do to have the directives open up, see below but now ONLY after the upgrade to CPS 12 SP 11 our directives will flash to the background after we open up a document from the documents section of the chart desktop. This makes them have to click on the windows on the toolbar to find the directives, then close that window, then find the window for the document they originally wanted to open to begin their work. Way to many steps and very frustrating for them again.
{If DCT_AFTER() <> "" then userok("Please note the following regarding this patient:" + "\r\n" + "\r\n" + DCT_AFTER() + "\r\n" + "\r\n" + "If the above has been resolved or is inaccurate please remove from the Directives section.") else"" endif}
3. Flowsheet: We are noticing that the flowsheet now has an additional scroll bar that is COMPLETELY USELESS, it is only visiable when the chart is minimized but our doctors seem to find it and attempt to use it, what happens is the flowsheet is now an open frame and you can scroll left or down for ever until the flowsheet is completely gone. Any thoughts on this, I have attempted to have the screens resized but they seem to find a way to scroll and mess it up.
4. ICD 9 codes matched to ICD 10 codes that are completely different descriptions. GE stats there is no way to fix this and the matchings are what they are.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated as my MD's now want to go back to CPS 11.1
Thanks!
George
1. Worked with a GE Tech on this and it is known issue that they are working on. Workaround given to us: After double-clicking on the Flag and it not opening the proper Chart Note, manually search for patient, go to Documents, and the cursor should automatically jump to and highlight the proper Chart Note and you just have to manually open it.
2. We are not using Directives in this manner.
3. I have not heard of this issue occurring.
4. I believe that we have an employee who has been going through the list, on a request basis, and adding them to our custom lists with more understandable descriptions. I believe that this was originally done with many of our ICD-9 codes over the years as well.
Thanks for the response, if you hear anyting on the flags please let me know, the employees here are not willing to settle on the solution you mentioned but I did pass it along.
1. The flags linked to a chart problem is a known bug. The workaround I was given when the problem happens is to just click on Chart in the left panel menu and you are brought to the chart that is linked to the flag. If the flag is linked to a specific item (e.g. document, order, etc.) you aren't brought right to that item. However, you can see what document it is linked to by clicking on Documents once the chart opens up ... the linked document will be selected. I am not sure if it works the same way for orders. This does work and is a better workflow then searching for the patient.
2. We are not using directives as you describe
3. Have not seen this problem
4. Not sure on the ICD9 to ICD10 issue.
Was the flag issue ever resolved? We are still having this problem.
