Upgraded to SP10 over the weekend, everything went pretty smoothly, expect we cannot fax some of our medications. We get the following error:
FAX FOR LEGEND MEDICATION NOT ENABLED
Already opened a ticket, but wanted to know if anyone else has had this issue? And how to resolve.
We have this issue in SP9 on occasion. I had to remove (or Change back) the medication that was added during CPOE, make sure the pharmacy was electronic, then add the medication back in. I've only seen this in our system on offline pharmacies that we tried to send electronic. It shouldn't even pull up Electronic as an option if the pharmacy is not electronic, but we were finding this to be the case.
Go to Admin- Electronic Prescriptions-check the box for faxing legend medications.

Also try looking in administration > electronic prescriptions. With 12 they have split out the prescribing security and there are two options for faxing. One is faxing legend and the other is faxing controlled substances 3-5.

ACTION: This feature was added in 12.0.8. Here is what I have copied from the release notes for that version that does answer this question:
The Electronic Prescriptions settings have been updated to allow for more granularity
when specifying methods for sending prescriptions via fax or electronically. Previously, enabling/disabling electronic prescribing and direct faxing of prescriptions to a pharmacy were combined. To better support practices in States that allow electronic prescribing, but disallow direct faxing of prescriptions, these selections have been separated. Please consult your State law and configure appropriately. Access the settings via Administration > Charts > Electronic Prescriptions.
