I was wondering if anyone else has had an issue with their upgrade? Had everything all set up and it ended up being cancelled 15 minutes before.
We did, and it was hell.
Right now everything seems stable within the regular crash flow.
i would not recommend it to anyone who want to keep their sanity, specially your IT team is small.
We performed the upgrade from CPS 10.1 to CPS 12.0.6, it came out the afternoon we scheduled our upgrade so we shot right over to it. We have an outsourced IT group (2 guys mainly) that does most of our system upgrades, I perform anything I can in-house. The upgrade didn't seem that bad and we have a lot of vendors with plugins. We scheduled the upgrade with coordination of our vendors over the next 3 days after the upgrade. Our Jboss server was barely holding on in specs and with all the vendors and plugins, we ended up upgrading. It came to a point where it was not responding well. We operate in a citrix environment with just a couple PCs to handle scanning and such. Other than some issues with CPS 12 itself and e-prescribe some of which have been ironed out, the install wasn't all that bad. A couple plugins had to be manually deleted as the registry was still pointing to the old CPS application. MU is a bear to deal with, with this version. The HTML version isn't all that it is cracked up to be. It is quite cumbersome. The banner crashes from time to time. There are a few hiccups. We don't do much with chart templating, just getting one of our providers into it now.
