All of you that are running sp11, has it gotten any better and/or more stable with the GA patches that GE has released?
Is it better than SP10?
I have been with my company 4 years now and out of all of the Upgrades and Service Packs, I can honestly say that I hate CPS12.0 SP11. I have never hated a version of CPS until we installed SP11; for us SP10 was definitely better. Granted SP11 has gotten better since installing Patch 6a, but I still long for the days prior to mid-October when we installed SP11. The reason we went to SP11 in the first place was for Meaningful Use and then SP11 didn't deliver the changes that we needed for Meaningful Use. Still hoping and praying that when CPS12.2 is finally released that it will bring us into a new era and out of the darkness that SP11 has been for us.
I echo the sentiment. We were very stable on sp10. SP 11 has been a nightmare and patch 6a did very little to help with crashes, slowness and the dreaded obs signing and disappearing from notes on document sign crashing.
We have worked very closely with GE and just 4 days ago a test patch called:
CPS12.0.11_Patch6a_65713_Fix
has really helped with app stability.
SP 11 was the worst ride with Logician / CPS / GE in 16 years. Hopeful for continued improvement. This test patch is 12.2 technology I'm told.
Good luck,
JJC
I'd wait for SP12. It's what we decided to do at my company.
SP11 has been a disaster and I would recommend skipping it. We only upgraded from SP10 to SP11 because of MU mandates, and I wish we were still on SP10.
The DI issue was absurd and still requires us to install a patch on all new client installs. The Clinical List Lock issue is bad news; on average, I'm unlocking 5-10 documents every day with the Centricity Admin Toolbox, and we're a small site. In addition, we can no longer use the Qvera Immunization Import form.
Don't do it, wait for SP12 or CPS 12.2.
If anything it's less stable than any other version we've ever run.
Ernie,
SP11.2 was rough for us. however SP11.6A + DLL patch has stabilized our experience across 7 Community Health Center databases.
Sp10.4 was very stable, and now SP11.6A+ DLL has returned us to the SP10.4 levels.
Our next jump will be to SP12.
Cheers
Kyle
Any word on when cps 12.0.12 is being released?
