Our users access Centricity through virtual apps using RDP. Does anyone else with that setup ever have random keys stop working or have keys do odd things? Occasionally we have users who their space bar will stop working within the RDP session (works fine outside of RDP) or in some cases when you hit a period it will minimize the whole window. This is easily fixable by resetting the session, but has anyone else experienced this or know any way to permanently resolve it?
They probably held down the shift key for too long and turned on the filter keys.
Microsoft solution:
* Hold down RIGHT SHIFT KEY for 8 seconds to bring up FilterKey popup.
- * Click on SETTINGS.
- * Under the Keyboard tab go to Filter Keys and click on SETTINGS.
- * Under Keyboard Shortcut click on the box USE SHORTCUT to remove check.
- mark.
- * Click OK.
- * At the bottom of the Accessibility Options box click APPLY then OK.
Good thought, strangely the users have not reported getting the "Are you sure you want to use stickykeys?" prompt that you normally get when activating that feature, but it is a possibility for sure. Thanks.
