Is anyone collecting CPT II codes for quality reporting for HEDIS and or STAR rating? If so, I would be interested in knowing how the CPT II codes are being entered into the system. Meaining, when the encounter is created or is it being entered by the billing team.

We do this for fall risk assessment, urinary incontinence, and several other things. We've modified our forms to help calculate the CPTII code, and the user has to click a button to enter the order. These go out in the claim with the office visit. We have been successful adding these codes automatically without the click of a button, but we chose to require the click to ensure there's manual intervention and accountability.

Do either of you have a script to automate this process that I could put in a cam function?
I am looking for HgbA1c (codes 3044F-3046F), Nephropathy Screening (3060F-3062F) and Retinopathy Eval (2022F-2026F).
