Just picking your brains....
We will be implementing MModal via citrix in the near future. Wondering if anyone else has done this successfully? If so what where some of your hardships? What dictation devices do you use? Did your site ever use Dragon?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

We're a CPS shop, but we did transition very recently from Dragon to M*Modal. Overall, it was about as smooth a transition as you could ask for. There were some communication hiccups between our network staff and their technical folks, but any issues were resolved within a day. We're now using it on local workstations and Wyse terminals with far fewer problems than we had with Dragon. Frankly, Dragon was a nightmare. M*Modal is way more reliable and feature-rich. I have not heard one person say they miss Dragon, that's for sure.

Hi Ron,
We are a CPS shop as well and are exploring currently the vendor landscape for speech recognition and m*modal peaked our interest. We have a proof of concept hastily put together and I am wondering if you are still using it and whether you'd be open to a call about your experience with it and how it works in your environment (which is very similar to ours - wyse thin clients and PCs).

Hi Ted. My involvement with the project ended as soon as we switched over (in fact I left that department entirely to work solely on reporting), so unfortunately I don't have much to tell you about our experience with M*Modal. I've heard that people are generally satisfied with it, but I don't have any detail to offer beyond that. Apologies.
