Does anyone utilize Tablets to help check in patients? We were thinking of putting tablet kiosks in at the front desk to help automate the patient check in process.
We we are open to any ideas from other offices to assist us with this decision.
Thanks!
We use iPad's at all of our offices to complete the entire check-in process.
During Check-In, we not only checkin for the appointment but allow for updating of the demopraphics, conduct survey and perform clinical screening.
During check-out, at the current time we just conduct check-out survey.
If you would like to discuss further, email me at [email protected].
what are you using for software?
We are in the very beginning stages so we aren't too sure what software we should use to help us automate this. I want to do exactly what abulsara mentioned.
We're interested in this as well. We have looked at Phreesia and it seems like a decent solution, but we're still looking. Getting software that will interface directly with Centricity is the trick. I'm curious what ipad app abulsara is using.
We are using a product from HealthGrid (formerly Patient Point). We have been using them for close to 3 yrs. The interface between HealthGrid and GE CPS is fairly simple as long as you have the capability to send ADT and SIU messages for Demographics and Scheduling. They also just recently introduced Mobile check-in via any Tablet or Smartphone - we are not using that yet but hope to soon.
If there are more questions, please let me know or if you want the contact info for the Sales Manager, let me know as well.
Amar,
Do you have a website we can look at for the HealthGrid software? Right now we are looking at a solution from Logical Innovations called Visual Signature Capture which utilizes VFE for form customization's.
Thanks!

We have been using Phreesia for a couple of years. We send demo and scheduling messages to them, and receive demo and documents from them. We're just starting to look at receiving obs values via the lab interface.
@mrnevetz Have you talked to Phreesia at all about the solution? It looks like a great product for the front desk and patient check in experience and goes above and beyond what we were looking for as far as that solution goes. But I am curious whether or not we can also collect information such as the Review of Systems and HPI.
With Logical Innovations they allow us to mostly just collect data from the patients such as consent forms and collect information from the patients like ROS and HPI during the check in process to review with their provider. But they don't seem to have a way to communicate like Phreesia that the patient is in the waiting room, or checked in. They also don't have the ability to collect payments from patients or verify insurance information.
Has anyone looked at Kryptiq's DocuSign?
