Just curious how many others have seen this behavior and if there's any setting to prevent it.
We have several physicians that periodically start typing directly into an update and the next thing they know, everything except for what they typed has been removed from the note.
When in an update the user can't type or delete specific content from a forms note translation (protected text), but apparently if you select all the text in the note and start typing, it deletes all the note translation and removes all the forms from your update... it doesn't seem like this should be possible. We have several physicians that we can't seem to break the habit of typing directly in to the note and have complained about this in the past. I couldn't replicate what they explained was happening until I recently tried select all then typing.
We're currently on CEMR 9.5.3_1. I'd be interested to hear from other users if this also happens in CPS, since we'll eventually be migrating.
We had a couple of documents that ended up with "protected text" which was actually part of what was in the HPI for the patient. Still not sure how that happened, but the second time it happened, I checked the option "Show contribution text in note" to check to see who all had been in the document and when I turned that option off, the "protected text" was gone!! We are also on CEMR 9.5.3_1.
