Hi everyone. Curious to see if anyone uses Meditech and also Centricity PM and/or EMR. I am interested in finding offices with this unique setup and your workflows for Registration. Specifically, I am looking to see if you interface any registration items including Medicare-specific items. If you are willing to chat, please email [email protected]. Thanks!
How about this question: Does anyone need to register patients in 2 systems because they do hospital/facility billing then also register patients in Centricity for professional billing? If so, have you created an interface to eliminate the redundant registration? I would love to talk if so 🙂
If you have dual registration processes for hospital and professional settings, do you have to register your patients in both softwares or have you created an interface?
We currenlty have Meditech and Centricity integrated but still have to do the dual registration process as we are billing out of Meditech. I do have a ADT feed setup that feeds all of the patients registration info into Centricity so we do not have to enter the patient info twice. We also have Lab, Rad, and OE Departmental interfaced. I am curious what you are doing currently for Med Rec betweent the two systems.
Thanks
Drew
We are on Meditech and CPS 10 (PM) and EMR Oracle 95. Register patients in Meditech with ADT feed to PM.

Drew, this is a little late to reply as we're in the midst of implementing CPS (v11) with the first of five outpt depts with the hospital, but we're using one of GE's partners, Qvera, to request/receive CCD responses from the inpt Meditech Magic 5.66 system into CPS and vice versa, with the intent to alert users on both ends of medication updates (to manually accept). We'll be live at the end of October with our SpineCare Center, hopefully it works at that point!
On another note, does anyone have workflows in place for HIM/coding in CPS? We'll have an ADT feed both ways, billing out of CPS for outpt depts and sending a general ledger export to Meditech.
Thanks!

We have an interface for regstriation, and billing. Centricity and STAR are in sync. Any changes made in STAR flow to Centricity, vice versa. When a patient checks-in on the Centricity schedule it creates a STAR account on the hospital system.
The physcian are hospital owened that do provider based billing. The Professional charges go out of Centricity, and the technical charges go through the hospital system (McKesson STAR). The Centricity tickets split, and send the technical charges across the interface to STAR.
