Currently, we are using RightFax to receive incoming documents such as Durable Medical Equipment (DME) forms, among many others, that require a signature as well as checking off a few boxes and writing in a few comments. Upon receipt, we are having to print those documents out and hand-deliver to each provider for filling out, before delivering back to Medical Records for uploading into Centricity.
My question is this. Would anyone happen to know if there are any third party companies that offer integration with Right Fax or another software altogether, that in turn allows us to open the incoming document and insert a signature and make edits to checkboxes and free text fields? We just want to simplify and streamline our current process as well as reduce paper. We have been using RightFax for a LONG time, and they do have e-sig capability, but not in conjunction with editing the document, checking boxes etc.
We aren’t talking about DocuSign, as we are using that already for patient consent forms etc. And they don't offer this capability, as we have been in discussions with their support team.
However, we are looking for integration with our current RightFax or looking at other companies to handle receipt of our incoming documents and be able to manipulate them by inserting signatures, checking off boxes and free texting in additional verbiage. - Patrick, Gonzaba Medical Group
I'm interested as well. I have replaced our stock PDF reader with Foxit which allows for all of this however I believe I have run into a permissions issue as it doesn't actually save the modifications to the file.
I did a demo of Updox recently and it was very impressive with its manipulation/signatures and integration with GE Centricity. I am trying to convince boss that we need it.
The demo was much more impressive than what their website showed.
Did you get a ballpark quote for UpDox that you would be willing to share?
Thanks for your response. We have a discovery call with Updox on Tuesday and will post back here with whatever I find out, specifically in relation to the e-signature and editing of incoming faxes.
We have also found Biscom and DocHub that might work. DocHub appears to be the quickest and easiest, from what I can see on their website, but cannot seem to find any integration with RightFax.
