Hello All,
Daniel Montanez here, Manager of Cardiology at Western Washington Medical Group, based out of Everett, Washington.
We have been using the Midmark ECG: IQECG (usb) for many years, but we are in need of replacing those ECG machines for new ones because Midmark won't service models as old as ours.
Before we purchase the new Midmark ECGs we are wondering if any other Centricity users out there use a different ECG machine that is known to integrate digitally with Centricity.
Any common issues?
Anyone have experience with using the Midmark ECG as well as other ECGs? Which did you like better?
Thank you!
Daniel
We use the IQMark suite including the ECG and the Spirometer.
The support costs for the hardware got pretty ridiculous, so i think we discontinued support, but still everything has worked well for many years..... We have had it for a long time... At one point in time we had to buy a new ECG device if I remember correct. We only have one Spirometer, which cant we don't move around but we take the USB ECG from exam room to exam room.
What problems are you having? And Following this.
I can compare our current model to yours if you let me know what it is. I could look tomorrow.
my only complaint is that i have an exporter utility that exports all chart attachments to PDF. They wouldn't help me that, but I finally found a workable solution.
Thank you Pete. We have the IQs that have the serial number beginning with 64.
The problem is that the USB cable keeps fraying and exposing the wires.
Previously we sent it in for a fix, but Midmark won't repair any model beginning with 64 any longer.
We will likely just get the newest Midmark IQ ECG, but wanted to see if there were other options that had been proven to work with Centricity.
I just got around to checking our midmark ECG. It is from 2007, serial number 442642.
Never really had any issues. Every pc has a usb extension cord to make it easy to move around from room to room.
Maybe they don’t make them like they used to as they say....
