What are you using to verify insurances? We are currently using GE's built in solution but are having a tough time of it. We verify each insurance as the patient calls or walks in but the delay from GE has been upwards of 5 minutes per verification. GE doesn't have a good solution, we have opened numerous tickets and at this point I am just looking for a new solution. Also, there are times when GE says the insurance is not verified and we check the websites and it is. Plus you cannot batch check the secondary insurance, so we have to go into each chart anyway! We are just very frustrated.

Have you ever considered using a digital check-in solution? Checkout CheckinAsyst, a solution that would digitize your check-in process and offers eligibility and benefit verification-both batch and real-time. It has good integration with GE Centricity products and so would work perfectly with your existing set-up.

We went with Phreesia about a little over a year ago and absolutely love it. It provides more than just insurance eligibility, it provides patient check-in as well as Pre-registration via an email that is sent to the patient.
