When our users remove expired referrals from the patient's chart, the system will automatically print the referral. Is there a setting some where that can we can change to stop all these referrals from printing when cleaning up patient's charts?
I want the answer to this one as well. Also other test orders such as labs and MRI's etc
I would love the answer for this as well.
It seems meaningless and wasteful to print out the cancelled orders. As a workaround we have actually used a pdf printer and switched to that to clean up and don't go all the way to save. After we switch the printer back to the normally used printer.
Not a great work around, but the only one we have come up with.
For our Tests and Procedures which consist of labs and xray, in Order Defaults we have No Form set for the Default form which keeps it from printing anything. We also use EMR Link which provides the LCD/NCD checking so ff there is a procedure being done at an outside provider, in the EMR Link window, the office is able to print a requisition from the EMR Link window if it is needed.
For referrals, we do have reforder.rpt set as the default form but have not had not heard any complaints of this happening. When you say you are removing the expired referrals, are you going into Orders and removing the order with a reason of expired?

Hi Linda,
Are you still managing your referrals through Centricity? I have a referral dashboard that will help eliminate all your referral issues that are in Centricity. Let me know if you are interested, I can schedule an online demo with you. Also, you guys are close enough, I have been trying to get a schedule date where I can visit you guys to review some of the other items you guys were requesting.
