Our organization has adopted a refill routine of routinely denying sure script refill requests, then processing the request using our protocols. With Kroger pharmacies (Fred Meyer is our main Kroger pharmacy) we are routinely receiving a refill denial error and are unable to process the refill electronically after the denial. This is not an issue with other pharmacies. We believe this may be an issue specific to Kroger and surescripts, but wonder if others are seeing the same error if a refill is denied and then sent electronically after. Anyone?
This is a known problem with Surescripts. I opened a case about a month, month and a half ago and they still haven't resolved it. There is a website via GE that lists all the Suresript outages http://centricitypractice.gehe.....solutions/
It is user id and password protected, but it is the same generic one GE uses for all their login pages. Our workflow has been to telephone all denials after sending, because some do go through and some do not. Some actually go through several times. If you need more info, please contact me directly.
