We are on GE Centricity 9.8, recently upgrade from 9.5
In 9.5 we would sometimes encounter what we have been calling "screen painting" within our GE encounter forms. Since 9.8 this seems to have increased significantly. Basically, if any sort of pop-up box (form initiated, or GE standard screen like the medication update screen) displays to the user while the form is still up - when the pop-up box closes, the form behind it becomes corrupt. Most of the screen becomes "grayed-out" with only random bits and pieces still displaying the form correctly.
Was wondering if anybody else had run across this - as we have not been able to reproduce on-demand, and are not sure if it is just an issue with our custom forms or if it is something we should bring to the attention to GE.
Thank you,
Ryan
I'm on CPS 12, but have had similar issues. To be honest I just have my users sign out and back in and seems to help. I have not reported yet as I can not reproduce either. I'm waiting to see if the next update due the first of Sep helps.
Cecil
We upgraded from EMR 9.5 to CPS 11 in June, and we've had issues with that sort of behavior, as well; it is sporadic, but most often reported when all system response times are lagging, as though the system can't do the screen refresh. We have our users do the same as what Cecil mentioned, and usually that does correct the problem.
Thanks for the responses - we are actually able to have the user just hit the Next Form/Previous form buttons when this corruption has happened, and then when they come back to the form the corruption is gone. Not sure if in your situations those buttons are not available for some reason, but that does help us. It is just becoming a nuisance so I was hoping GE had a fix in the works that someone may have known about.
Thanks!
