It was brought to my attention recently that some of our providers will prescribe medications with a future start date. This puts the Med on the patients current med list even though they may not be starting it for a month or two.
Are any other clinics doing this? Is there a more appropriate workflow that could be used so that it is not on the patients current med list until they get the Rx filled?

When the provider prescribes the medication there is a start date listed in the med module. It automatically defaults to the current date but could be changed to reflect a future date. This should help you issue.
