If anyone has the ear of GE while at the CHUG conference next month, we should ask for a website which shows the status of GE's various cloud services. Yesterday, the EDI claim submission cloud feature was throwing a "503 service unavailable". We verified that we had internet access on our workstations and the fact that none of our billers were able to send claims out was a sure fire way to tell that something was going on. I spoke with GE support and they didn't seem to know for sure that there was a problem but suspected it was related to some chatter about a VPN tunnel. They just got back to me (23 hours later) to say that it is back up (we already knew that) but that we should have received an email about the outage (we did not). We are certainly on the list and get notifications about some outages but not always. If I had a website like downrightnow.com or downdetector.com it would make cloud support much better for us IT folks in support. It could even be an internal GE website in Siebel or eService but give us -something-. Even an IP address which has ICMP response enabled would help.

If you are following Centricity EDI Services on the GE engage website, I would suggest putting something there as well.
