We have a separate system (CPSI-for billing) that pushes demographic info to GE. Our receptionists have noticed that when they update phone numbers in the GE registration screen that they do not always stay. It seems that CPSI pushes the patients home number to the first field and their work number to the second field. It does not currently push the patients cell number unless that is also their home/primary number. We had been having the receptionists put the patients cell number in the 3rd field in GE. However if the patient does not have a work number pushing from CPSI it moves the cell number up to the second slot. Then the next time a visit is created in CPSI for that patient it overwrites the cell number with the non-existent work number. Has anyone else had problems with this or know how to resolve it? We would also like to patients cell number to show in the patient header rather than the work number. Anyone know what OBS term will do this? I haven't had any luck with the ones I have tried.
We have been having this issue as well. I put a ticket in with GE, SR #1-674457603 back in May and am still having issues. The last time I spoke with GE was 10/13/15. We had this issue about a 1 1/2 years ago and it was the Centricity Bridge that needed to be updated. That finally got updated and it was working after the update. Then May this year, it stopped again. I suggest putting in a ticket with GE. Maybe the more they get on this, they will find the issue and get it fixed.
Did GE ever get this resolved for you?
Hello. No. It turns out that what I thought was previously broken, it was actually a fix by GE to previously being broken. My Software Analyst was able to fix it by adjusting the patient banner. Do you need assistance with that?
We use the Standard Banner which, from my understanding, can't be edited. I think it is just a problem with the way things are mapped from CPSI to GE. My supervisor is working on getting this mapped correctly. Thank you though!
