Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone has signed up for and successfully implemented Hospital Connect 2.0 for their practice? It all looks and sounds good and powerful in theory, I wanted to see if anyone can provide any real experience and opinion as to the real added value of the solution. Thanks!
Mike
We do not have Hospital Connect, but are also looking at it and are also interested to know if anyone is using it and how its working out. We are scheduled for a Demo/Reference call next week.

What is required for it? Is there additional hardware needed, software purchase, subscription costs?
Software purchase, and I think its pretty steep. There is probably also a maintenance cost to it. In my opinion these are features that should be standard in EMRs in today's world and not additional features available at a premium, but that's a conversation for another day.
I'm also interested in comments. Personally, we are putting our eggs in the North Carolina HIE basket. It's free and bountiful, though not integrated with Centricity.
Just spoke to my VAR regarding Hospital Connect. Two provider practice. Cost is $396/mo plus an initial cost for coding and implementation of up to 20 hours at $195 per hour. This is not possible given current overhead in a primary care practice. Interoperability should not come at this steep of a cost. Am looking to change EMR after intial adoption and use of Centricity since 2007.
