I was wondering if anyone is utilizing CPS for the hospital rounds that their physician does?
We were thinking of using the schedule to hold our patients that are currently at the hospital, but we need a way to keep them on the schedule without adding them every day until they are discharged. The front desk would just start an encounter, associate the document to the appointment on the schedule, and put the orders/diagnoses in for that day. This should create a ticket for each day the patient is in the hospital.
Currently we are doing all of this manually, and it is fairly time consuming.

Check out http://chargemd.com/. I think this is what you need. We set it up but I am not sure if it is to do exactly what you are talking about. They do seem to be able to adapt their software to be able to work with various things.

Thanks for replying, Mike.
Can you describe how your clinic currently uses ChargeMD? There wasn't much information on the website, and I was curious as to how your clinic used them.

We get demographics from the hospital EMR system where our doctors work the ER/OR and do rounds. It was required that we set up a drop box here per hospital regulations but that encrypted "data at rest" is picked up immediately by ChargeMD and made available via iphone/ipad app. I think ChargeMD sorts things out so we only see our patients info. From the app our providers do their rounds make updates and update things at ChargeMD so others running hte app can see updates in real time. Some information is then pushed to CPS via secure VPN tunnel. Billing information maybe?
I believe we met ChargeMD at a CHUG conference but if you want a contact there, email [email protected]. He would be able to explain the best. You can refer to our clinic (TNC) because it seems like you are looking for the same type of thing we have set up. I am trying to recall everything but the project to extremely long due to having to depend on a hospital to get part of this done.
