So we're bringing on a new provider who has a MU 2014 certified EHR. The perfect opportunity to use the CCDA to export/import the CCDA. Seems straight forward. I import the XML using the "Import Chart Summary" feature and it looks good, but is a static document. Fire up a new encounter, hit the reconciliation button on the CPOE A&P CCC form and the web form opens right up but there is absolutely nothing is listed under "documents to reconcile". How do I get my XML documents to populate that dropdown list?
We use the 'basic' SureScripts Secure Messaging product and the majority of the CCDAs fail to import as "Save to Chart". We save most as PDFs. Of course, everyone is "certified" and most messages pass the NIST parameters.
Incoming Centricity and Cerner CCDAs reconcile best.
While Qvera could certainly handle these (as might ACM's module) for automated import, it'd be nice if the basic SMPP functionality could import. Wasn't that in SP9?
Agreed but even beyond all of that, I have direct access to both systems and I'm simply generating the XML file and can direct import it. If they both meet NIST parameters then it really should work. I'm not convinced I'm not screwing something up though as I get the same behavior when trying to import a CCDA that was generated by my own CPS. Maybe they broke something in SP-11. It really shouldn't be this awkward.
And as a side note, this one imports by way of SMPP as well (had to try that). I have no problem getting the viewable representation of the XML data in the chart I just can't get it to show up as a selectable document in the reconciliation html form.
So, a bit more info. I get the same behavior when I export a CCDA document from CPS and re-import it. It shows up readable but not available in the drop down list for reconciliation. Hope that makes sense.
