This is a step by step guide to looking at the raw data that gets sent to the clearinghouse. It is helpful when examining claims and finding the ANSI qualifiers that go out on your claims. It is also nice to see all the elements in the loops and segments for troubleshooting. Parsing a file worksheet/guide
Lastly, it is something fun to do on a Saturday morning when you just can't wait for Monday to try something new in Centricity.

You can also use Notepad++ and it is a lot quicker.
Within it you simply need to Replace
~
with
~\r
Only other thing you have to remember is to enable "Extended" mode. It is in the lower left of the search window.
One other handy tool is the following website. It does a pretty good job of documenting the various loops/segments within a file.
