Is there a method to remove "Complete" orders from a patient record without the need to "file-in-error" the original document? Because there is the ability to set a service order to complete upon signature, some of orders go complete to limit the staff / doc workload of reconciling PT/DME/Ancillary services later. We are unable to remove these orders in the event of an inaccurate item/test is ordered. Is there a setting or action I am missing to get rid of the order without eliminating the original document?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Dennis
in for a response! I would love to know a work around for that as well.
Can't be done to my knowledge through the client without filing in error. I guess you could run a script on the DB, but that's dangerous territory...
This can't be done ... unfortunately.
I actually opened a service request with GE regarding this issue at the request of a provider. His reasoning is that everyone will make a mistake at one time or another and it seems unreasonable that the only way to fix this is to file the document in error. GE's response was there is no other way to remove the completed order. The SR# is 1-814799783 if anyone is interested in pursuing this. I would be interested in a work around as well.
Thank you for the info. With the SR provided, I will see what I can do to help escalate a response from GE.
