Has anyone heard of InteliChart? If so, can you share any experiences that you have had with them or heard about them.
Any and all information will be welcomed.
Thanks,
Judy
We currently use Intelichart as our patient portal. I have to say that our use has been very, very limited due to some communication problems when it came to our patient registration paperwork and importing this information into Centricity.
What has disappointed me is the lack of knowledge the training people have about their product and how it works with Centricity PM & EMR. My expectation, as the client, is that they would walk me through everything I needed. We were promised in our sales presentation that the data required in our patient paperwork would be populated in the PM side AND that the EMR side would populate for the doctor to use (social and medical history, etc.). What we found out after installing and working with the trainers was that not everything was coming forward from the portal into Centricity, not everything was showing up in the portal for the patient to see that pertained to their social and medical history, etc. and any information/observation items that the patient entered in the portal would only be populating in a flowsheet in the EMR, not the doctor's exam or our CCC forms like we required. They also could not properly do a transition of care referral from Centricity, and did not inform me of any other alternatives to this until I had to request a "formal" meeting of Intelichart and Centricity representatives.
So at that point we stopped working in Intelichart and only used it to set up the patient with their access for MIPS purposes.
It has been a very frustrating experience and I moved away from spending too much time on it.
They have recently upgraded the product so I am going to attempt to spend more time reviewing and developing forms that I may be able to use with my patients, we shall see.
This is the 3rd patient portal that we have experienced and I can honestly say that they all promise you everything, but in reality you do not get it.
My advice would be to make sure you clearly state everything you expect the portal to do for you AND get it in writing from your sales representative. I would also suggest that your initial setup meetings be with both the Intelichart implementation team, your sales person and any Centricity people you may need.
I think the product looks nice, and compared to EZ Access, we have had only 1 patient have a problem since we implemented it last year, which is great.
Good luck and I hope my comments have helped.

Hello Judy,
We currently use the Intelichart Patient portal and switched over from EZ-Access. Let me first start by saying that our patients LOVE the Intelichart portal and have been more engaged than with our old portal. The Intelichart patient portal is aesthetically pleasing and very easy to manage.
Just like with any IT solution, we have had some issues, but Intelichart support has been absolutely amazing in resolving them quickly. My favorite thing about Intelichart is how willing they are to make their product better and use customer feedback to improve their products. I have never dealt with a software provider that was so willing to address enhancement requests in an organized and timely fashion as they do.
Intelichart creates EHR agnostic software solutions and i think that they do a great job especially because of the major differences between them. Intelichart offers other products as well, which we are currently looking into based upon our experiences with them.
