we are using the Indexing Client and it is not efficient for our practice workflows. We have two very large paper to EMR practices about to convert to GE Centricity 10.1 and using this software will put us far behind. When speaking with GE in the past they have told me this is the only scanning software they will support. Any help is much appreciated. We are looking for software that we can scan a large chart into and separate out and/or delete pages as needed then index.
Thanks!

It is a painful process....however, what I have seen practices do in the past is only index into the folders records back two years. The other records would then go in a folder labeled "Old Records". The provider then knows if they want to see anything older than two years that it is there, but unfortunately it will be harder to find. Some offices have done 3 and some up to five--it does help.
Are you using scandall for scanning? If so another thought is to be sure your naming feature is on so that you can scan in lots of pages at one time (example: all your 3 pagers all your 2 pagers and all your 1 pagers at one time) The system should make each 3 pager it's own file and each 2 pager it's own file and so on. Still a painful process, but does make it a bit easier.
If you have more questions I can help with, feel free to contact me.
