I am having an issue with our Terminal Servers and Centricity. We have a mixed enviroment, some fat clients and some thin clients that connect to terminal servers. Were having issues where the computers that are connecting to TS disconnect and slow down. It's horrible. Our MD's and end users are complaining and it's becoming a huge problem. Were currently running Windows server 2008 R2.
Any help would be appreciated..

What version of Centricity is your group on? We just upgraded to CPS 12 from CPS 10 and are experiencing similar issues. The staff uses Citrix to log on and our physicians use thick clients. Since the upgrade, Citrix users have complained that the Chart freezes or they get booted out. We are planning to reboot our Centricity and Citrix servers tonight to help with any latency issues. We were rebooting twice a week but have been thinking that this needs to be done more often in order to prevent any issues with slowness or freezing.
Were currently using CPS 10, but moving to CPS 12 within the next few months. Weve had the problem ever since we went live a few years ago. So the problem still exists in CPS 12? that's horrible, everytime i call GE regarding the issue, they say "We hope it can be resolved in CPS12."
We have found that cleaning out the registry files on the terminal servers helps, but that needs to happen a couple times a month.
How often are the term servers rebooted?
At least once a week. I think at this point we've determined that it's not a problem with Centricity, but with our equipment, still any help would be appreciated.
Are these VM's or actual hardware servers?
It's a mixture of both.
I spoke with a GE rep yesterday about the issues we've been experiencing and he said that GE recommends for the terminal servers to be rebooted nightly in order to clear the cache and memory. I've noticed that the sessions are not being cleared out as often as they were in CPS 10, which is then creating multiple sessions and possibly interfering with the current session the user is actively working in. We are going to try the nightly reboots to see if that helps. There was also an update in our login scripts right before the upgrade, so we are seeing if that could also be an issue.
There are definitely still issues in CPS 12. There is another service pack that is going to be released very soon that should hopefully fix some of the bugs. Hopefully, by the time you upgrade, many of these issues will be resolved.

Thanks for the update. We are eager to find a fix or even just possibly reduce the issue. Thanks for the info.
Updates are generally related to security or compatibility. Besides, unless everyone has the same problem, it's not an issue w the software.
Have IT inventory your local infrastructure, and check for any bottlenecking points. If nothing comes up, have a network assessment done.
