Hello there- interested in how the "add from chart" method works in comparison to the encounter update form within EMR. Is anyone currently doing the "Add from Chart" method? If so, how does this work? Does it meet MU measures?

Add from Chart Portal Process - New Patients
Here is our worklflow for add from chart. We switched to the add from chart functionality as soon as it was available as the PIN process was too cumbersome for us. The staff LOVE it - it works great and yes, it does meet MU. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Yes, the add from chart method counts for meaningful use. Once a chart has been linked to a portal account, an entry is made to the meaningful use table in Centricity's database.
