Hello,
We just started implementing the use of Clinically Speaking in our office. We also use a transcription service. Right now and most likely permanently it is going to be a mix of both transcription and dragon throughout the office. I am curious how groups are keeping track of missing dictations? I was thinking about a custom crystal report that looks for patients that have an office visit but missing a transcription document type but I don't have access to crystal at this time. thoughts?
We use both as well, we have our MA's review all the physicians inbox to ensure there is nothing outstanding. Out transcription company uploads the transcription and enters the documentation in the correct portion of the note then they mark it letting the MA know the documentation is in and the physicians needs to review and sign off on the encounter. We also have scribes that review the document with physicians.
I was having a somewhat similar issue till last month. I lost track of missing dictations. We use a transcription service and the service provider has launched an App which helps us with missing dictations and track the progress of my transcriptions. It is integrated with my EMR. I have been using it for a month and so far there's no issue. It also has reviewing options. You can ask your transcription service for a similar kind of App.
Hi:
Just wondering. What made you select the Dragon Clinically Speaking product? Also, who trained you on its use within Centricity?
We having been using Dragon in Centricity since May 2015, but did not go with the Clinically Speaking.
Thanks.
Michelle
Hi Scott,
You say you do not have access to Crystal? Do you have CPS or EMR? We have CPS and I have been with this company for 3 years and it has always had a copy of Crystal Reports built into it for use in the Reports Module. You can use the Crystal Report licensing to copy and then modify reports within Centricity in the Reports Module or even build reports from scratch within it. Currently, our is licensed for out Test Environment, so I just build the reports their export them out of our Test Environment and then Import them into our Production Centricity Environment.
we chose clinically speaking due to its use of cloud based technology, lack of necessary training, administrative dashboard, and our new director using at his old practice. We are having relatively good luck with it however it seems to be crashing often though I heard that Nuance just came out with an update for it to hopefully fix the problem. We run on citrix boxes so this also helped fill that need to keep them.
I have used crystal reports in the past and it is way more intuitive than the built in design mode of CPS reports if that is what you are referring to.
Sorry for the delayed response, for some reason I didn't get a notification that this was replied to.
