We are wanting to only allow say 3 people to have access to a sensitive chart,, So when the chart is marked sensitive in Registration there is the option to add those people that we want to have access to the chart.
It seems that one chart that we have marked sensitive has 900 users (that just seems like a lot to maintain)
Any information will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Judy
Are you referring to Administration > System >User and Resource Management > Users > Security > Security by permission > View sensitive registrations or access on demand sensitive registrations?
It sounds like you have individual user permissions there. You should be using security groups--especially if you have 900 user accounts.
Thanks so much, that is exactly how it is set up here and we are now working to fix. Who do you all designate to give access when needed?
Thanks again,
Judy
We have a security group called "Centricity Security Admins." That group is the only group allowed to change security settings. Members have been specifically trained in managing CPS security settings. If you aren't careful the CPS security settings can be messed up very fast. If people not familiar with how CPS security works have been making changes, you probably have a lot of work coming up very soon. 🙂
Overall We have about 60 or so security groups covering around 120 users that are granted various privileges in CPS. Some are for very specific purposes and not commonly used, like signing a particular document type. Others are more general like Scheduling, Nurses, Providers, etc.
