IT just installed thick client on my laptop. Upon launching the application (CPS 10.1.2.211), I tried to login but got the following error. No firewalls are on, using internet explorer 8, installs on other laptops are fine, I can launch RDS without problems. Any ideas?
Service Layer Request:
ErrorCode: NO_ERROR

are you using an X64 OS. If so try changing the default installation directory to something different.
Put the site in the compatability mode list.
Also ensure you are set to default launch IE 32 bit.
Do you have EMR9.5 installed? If so, uninstall it and you'll be able to get on.
I've spent hours working with GE and our vendor on this exact issue, they were not able to figure it out. We tried creating new users in Active Directory, deleting my local profile etc. We had this same issue on 3 computers, and the only commonalities were EMR9.5 and VFE. Uninstalling VFE did nothing but as soon as EMR9.5 went away it let me in.

So the solution provided by GEis not having the EMR client installed on the same PC as a CPS client?
ODBC driver conflict?
You can't have EMR9.5 or even the evaluation version installed alongside the thick client. I believe the issue is from the .dll's that get registered and the files that get installed in the Windows folder.
