Has anyone found a way to create a mailing label to send to a label printer from a patient's chart or registration? We have done something similar from the schedule component to print specimen labels. We currently hand-write the patient's address on an envelope to mail correspondence. Any ideas that would save us time or errors would be appreciated. Thanks!
I have a program that does lab labels and can easily do the same with mailing labels. Please feel free to contact if interested. [email protected]
interested as well.
Although i think there is an out of the box report to print address labels on the small format dymo.
Access via the reports component i believe, not from the chart. though.
we are looking to do appointment reminders on the larger format dymo labels.
I believe you are correct that the reports module cannot run from the chart. If you want to print mailing labels, acantu is probably your best bet.
Our clinic has set up all letters to put the mailing info at the top of the letter. We trifold the letters, and put them in envelopes with a window on the front. It has worked well for our staff, as we don't have to print or hand write the address on any letter sent from the patient chart.
There is a labels category in the print dialog box from the chart module that includes a "mailing label" that references an out of the box crystal report.
Not sure how you would get a custom report to show up in this category in the "Print Topics"
There is also an option to print a mailing label at the same time you print a letter.
Under printer setup you set the mailing label printer.
I would really like to just add another "mailing label" but just have it be an appointment reminder.
unfortunately the medcode365.com solution only works in CPS, not CEMR.
