Anyone else experiencing issues when trying to setup new providers in MM? We have been live for about a month now and every single provider we go to try and setup, Athena support has to do something behind the scenes to get them setup. So my newest provider I have been waiting a week and half just to get setup for EPCS. Support seems to really be overwhelmed at the moment as well. And is anyone else completely dissatisfied with this new E-prescribing platform? seems like 10 steps back from Surescripts. I am voicing my concerns to our Relations rep and others at Athena but just wondering if others are experiencing as many issues as we are?
Our providers are very upset and a couple have moved their retirement dates up. Others are wanting us to look for another EMR and not Athenia One. It's been rough on our practice and I know the support team at Athenia have been so overwhelmed with issues that they are just treading water to keep up. We have been on it since June 10th.
YES you are not alone,
I get the sense from talking to Athena support that they are overwhelmed and not at all happy with the solution either. We have had two new providers that we have had to setup with EPCS post go-live with med management and neither has been smooth. We have had an uptick in complaints from front line staff and providers about it, mostly because its buggy and takes more time to write a prescription. Athena support has given us two ad-hoc tools now to use to fix integration issues, because the integration is so bad it warranted the creation of not just one, but (at least) two different tools to make the job of cleaning up the mess easier.
We are also having the same issues and it is very frustrating
I agree. So far this is a complete debacle. Setup was difficult. Each provider was different in some way. The time to write a prescription is insane. More worrisome is the inability to order the medication list. This is a patient safety issue.

I'm hoping someone can answer this question for me. I was told the following: Even though the medication is stopped in Medication Management immediately, the athenaPractice chart summary, will behave as this: Chart Summary tab and will keep medication active until 11:59 PM , and update to INACTIVE at midnight. Is there a reason for this that I don't understand? It is confusing me as well as the staff because the medication is still appearing in the patient chart summary so we go back into the med module to make sure it was marked inactive. Also I'm not sure that it doesn't appear on the patient portal as still active which could confuse patients as well if they look at their portal account.
Yes after go-live we have had issues getting new people credentialed.
