Has anyone experienced roaming profiles, or stealing sessions ? Wondering if anyone has seen, when a physician signs on to more than one computer, using the same profile, and on the same server, where one patient's data is somehow getting pulled into a different patient's chart ?? Trying to understand if this is possible. We have considered whether there is a clipboard storing data, and somehow pulling into different charts.
Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks
John
I've had a couple of SPRs open with GE having to do with data from other patients showing up in the CCC CPOE form but that's it as far as open tickets. I think occasionally we have seen problems when providers have updates on multiple patients open in their session. We use Citrix and we only allow one EMR session per user. So if user TSMITH logs into Windows and opens up the EMR on PC1, then goes to PC2 and logs in, his EMR session from PC1 will pull over (and if it doesn't he can pull it over manually). If he tries to run the EMR again he get a message that he is already running it, whether the EMR program is on PC1 or PC2 or just in a disconnected state.
Thank you for the information !!
