I'm not sure if this is the right place to mention this.
Under the refusal form, bone density is spelled "Bone Desnsity"
I am a scribe and I work with a family medicine doctor.
There were many times that she print out about prescriptions that is signed under an MA or phone person. This is frustrating since she has to reprint it under her name. There should be a pop up for this so that it can't print unless its a doctor. Can this be fixed?
Hi Amanda,
I am not certain which form the refusal form is (different sites utilize different forms), so I can only suggest that you connect with your EMR administrator to determine the best course of action to correct the misspelling.
With regard to the MA's being allowed to sign prescriptions, that too is something you should address with your EMR administrator. It could be a user rights issue or it may be a workflow issue, possibly even a user training/management issue, either way, it should brought to your local teams attention.
I hope this helps.
Thanks for your reply. Where can I find the EMR administrator?
By EMR administrator, I mean the individual employee who is in charge of running your EMR system. You may need to contact the practice administrator to find out who this is and to determine the best course of action needed.
