We are looking at implementing a third-party product called Momentum ( http://momentum-app.com), but I'm not understanding very clear direction on what may be required on the CPS side to allow this application's HL7 input to link the images to the patient's chart.
Has anyone used or is anyone using Momentum that may be able to share some information on how they set this up?
Thank you,
Curtis
do you not have a PACS? I solved a similar problem using a $200 laptop and a $25 USB video card because our C-arm is too old and doesn't have network connectivity but has video out. We used to store our Ultrasound images in CPS but the picture quality was terrible, that was before we had PACS.
No PACS or we would use it. This Momentum is supposed to automate the association of the ultrasound images to the patient's chart in CPS by receiving the information from the ultrasound and sending HL7 to CPS in order to update the patient record with a UNC path link to the image after it's been converted from DICOM to PDF or another format. The information I'm lacking is what is needed to receive and process that HL7 message from Momentum.
Centricity DTS handles the HL7 imports and exports to/from the EMR side of Centricity.
You would need the DTS app running on a machine to accept inbound MDM HL7 messages in this case. Centricity's name for this interface Doculink I believe.
